Race Season- Inside Line

The race season is over w/ #6 & #7, both super fun courses with sections on parts of the Winter Park/ Frasier Trail System that I’ve never rode.  More climbing and some rippin’ descents at about 37 mph.  In-laws, Jim and Shelly were able to capture some spectator time on #7.

Filled out the event survey (hoping to win free registration next year) and provided my two cents- bring in a less intense Single-speed class!

Go!-ol’One Gear

Launched a new Travel Bug (TB) this season named One Gear.  It’s a geocache tag-along rear cog from a old cruiser bike Bendex Rear Hub.  Pretty hard to part with but I could always give it an updated mission to come on home.  BikeBug my first TB is in the status “location unknown” to bad as it was launched from Alaska on a mission to return to my cache.  It had made it to within 3 mile from my house on it’s way to the Buffalo Creek area, but was lost on the way.  Muggle cache-robbers more than likely.  Check out the link on the links page to track it’s adventure.

Race #5- Hangin' w/ Granny

Missed Race #3 which looked pretty fun and missed #4 which would have been my race- as it was a DOWNHILL!  Anyway, I made Race #5 which was a bunch of fun. I talked to granny a bunch, sometimes ‘cause those riders bottle necked in front were, but that’s a convenient excuse.  Really, I hadn’t been on the bike for about 2 weeks and had to.  She’s doing fine, hoping to prolong the next visit.

On another note, I found myself racing vs. participating again, interesting.  Still coming in at the bottom of my class but not last!
