Still Runnin'

Recently returned from a little road trip through the southwest.  We drove through Monument Valley which was pretty grand.  Remember the scene in Forest Gump?  He’s running down a long straight road with the monuments in the background and the song “running against the wind” is playing, completely cheesy.  Of course, I was planning to re-enact the scene but the batteries died in the camera in the middle of nowhere.  So, reader, you're saved of that agony.  We speed through a lot of miles, really a primer for further adventures and exploration. Perhaps I’ll consider installing cruise control on the jeep.

Tranced

Finally, recently able to click in for the first couple of real trail rides on the new rig!  The Sedona area has a nice little network of sweet singletrack, right in town.  Into about 21 miles at the point of the photo, near cathedral rock or something, I had to turn around due to time (‘cause I wasn’t tired or nothing) but, I’m sure the loop on the other side of the rock was just as nice as the rest.  The trance performed strong.  This was ride number two.  Slickrock, a few days earlier was the inaugural trail ride.  How many folks get the first real test at slickrock? Ha!
